Some Intel HD graphic cards seem to create a black or white, transparent pattern like an overlay on the video scenes. This may come and go with the Intel graphics device driver in use.
The problem can be removed quickly: Just download
this small ZIP file here, open it and also open the .reg file in it. Windows will ask permission 1-2 times when adding the information to the Windows Registry. After this was done, the issue should be gone after restarting Windows
If not, there is also a manual workaround for it:
- Right-Click on the desktop
- Select Graphics Properties
- When the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel opens click on the Video icon
- Search for the Image Enhancement. (may need to select Advanced view on the top menu, depending on the driver software)
- Look for Contrast Enhancement and select Disable

This will solve the problem and video playback will be fine.
