I have been using the Title Effect “Moving Box” and although I have completed the effect it has been more by trial and error, than by understanding.
There are two settings on the main Titling page, “Page Fade” and “Box Fade”, both sliders range from 000.00.00 to 00.12.00.
I think these affect the box travel speed and pause settings, but cannot work out exactly what the relationship is between the two settings. Also what effect does the time length of the scene have in relation to these settings?
The "Page Fade" defines the time each page has for IN+Stand+OUT
The "Box Fade" defines the time each Box has to fade IN and OUT (again)
In this example, you will find a 30 second scene with 2x pages. Page 1 with 3x boxes, page 2 with 4x boxes.
The settings are Page Fade = 8 Seconds, Box Fade = 1 Second.
The result is:
Page 1, Box 1 will come in 1 second
Page 1, Box 2 will come in 1 second
Page 1, Box 3 will come in 1 second
Page 1 will be visible 9 seconds
Page 1, Box 1 will go out 1 second
Page 1, Box 2 will go out 1 second
Page 1, Box 3 will go out 1 second
Page 2, Box 1 will come in 1 second
Page 2, Box 2 will come in 1 second
Page 2, Box 3 will come in 1 second
Page 2, Box 4 will come in 1 second
Page 2 will be visible 7 seconds
Page 2, Box 1 will go out 1 second
Page 2, Box 2 will go out 1 second
Page 2, Box 3 will go out 1 second
Page 2, Box 3 will go out 1 second
And this is the calculation:
The effect time is 30 seconds
so you got 15 seconds for page 1 and 15 seconds for page 2
Page 1 has 3x boxes, fading 1 sec. IN + 1 sec. OUT = together 6 seconds
Page 1 has 15 seconds and needs 6 for the IN+OUT = standing still 9 seconds
Page 2 has 4 boxes, also fading 1 sec. IN + 1 sec. OUT = together 8 seconds
Page 2 has 15 seconds and needs 8 for the IN+OUT = standing still 7 seconds
This is how it works if there is enough time for the effect.
The less effect time, the less time is for the pages to stand still. If the effect would be just 15 seconds, there would be 7,5 for page 1 and 7,5 for page 2. Page 1 needs 6 seconds of animation and would still have 1,5 second to stand still. But page 2 would need 8 seconds of animation, and just has 7,5. So Bogart will automatically reduce the fade time for box in+out and have no time to show the title without movement. Last box out would follow first box in without any waiting.
In these examples the "Page fade" with 8 seconds has nothing to do, because the Page 2 has just the 8 seconds to fade in and out. But if you would limit the total "Page Fade" to 4 seconds, neither page 1 nor 2 would have time for the 1 sec. IN+ 1 sec. OUT effects. Bogart would automatically reduce the Box fade time. For three boxes on page 1 IN+OUT (= 6 animations) would be reduced to 0,66 seconds. And page 2 with 4x boxes (= 8x animations) would get a Box fade of 0,5 seconds
So both sliders can be interesting, depending on how much time you got for your effect.

Thank you Michael
WOW that was some explanation. I can normally work things out with out an English version manual, but this one had me totally at a loss. I can now see why.
All joking apart, this has really helped.
